Categories: TAHRA Learning Lab

Presented by Dr. Laura Garrett

This presentation will delve into the intricate landscape of dementia and Alzheimer's to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to support clients, employees, and families affected by these conditions. The program will foster understanding but also offers practical strategies for creating a supportive environment within businesses. Insights will be given to gain insights into empathy-driven approaches and learn how small adjustments can make a significant impact on the lives of those living with dementia and their caregivers. Strategies will be given to build support for employees who have families living with the disease that prioritize compassion and support. From communication techniques to organizational adjustments, participants will also learn about the steps to become a dementia-friendly business through a program with the Oklahoma Health Department.
