Pursuing HR Certification
TAHRA highly encourages its members to pursue one of 5 certification designations as an HR professional through either the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). These designations are SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP from SHRM, or PHR, SPHR, and GPHR from HRCI. To learn more about HRCI and SHRM certifications, visit our HR Certifications page.
One of TAHRA's goals is to assist its members in identifying local education courses that may prepare them for taking the certification exam. This section of the website will provide a schedule of local programs and/or registration contact info for those interested in earning continual education credits.
