We are seeking a skilled and innovative Training and Development Technology Specialist to join our team. This role will have prime responsibility for managing and optimizing our Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will ensure the LMS is effectively utilized to support our training and development initiatives, providing a seamless and engaging learning experience for all users.
Key responsibilities include administering the LMS, leading the successful completion of LMS related or technology-based projects, and designing/developing online courses. The Training and Development Technology Specialist will also analyze user data to improve system functionality and user experience, and provide technical support and training to staff and learners.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in educational technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring effective use of technology in our training programs, contributing to the overall success of our learning and development efforts.

Detailed Description:
- Actively supports the Companys commitment to safety and its Core Values.
- Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Companys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Designs, develops, and delivers Learning Management System (LMS) focused learning activities, including the creation of online courses, tutorials and job aids for end users and system administrators.
- Supports the continuous improvement and ongoing maintenance of the LMS, including, but not limited to, system configuration, content management, interfacing technologies, issue resolution and new functionality testing.
- Provides technical assistance, troubleshoots, and provides solutions associated with issues related to delivery of content to office and field-based personnel.
- Functions as producer for live online training sessions.
- Manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Develops high-trust, professional relationships with internal clients; both in the field and with our regional offices.
- Provides best-in-class customer service when communicating solutions to end users.
- Monitors existing and new technologies to identify tools, applications and systems that will improve the technical aspect of the learning function in an effort to provide a competitive advantage to the Company.
- Creatively problem solves and innovates to provide solutions to internal customers and push Matrix to forefront of best-in-class training and development programs.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, instructional design, educational technology, online teaching or training-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience managing or functioning as a learning management system administrator as a prime responsibility. Cornerstone LMS experience preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting issues associated with computer-based learning modules and learning management systems.
- Proven experience with adult learning principles and course design techniques.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing online/eLearning courses, preferably with Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Adobe Captivate.
- Proven experience with creating, editing, and publishing video and audio for courseware. Experience creating simulations and games to support learning outcomes is a plus.
- Demonstrated self-starter with a high degree of initiative and an innovative approach to solving problems, with the ability to effectively manage time; ability to simultaneously work on and successfully complete multiple projects.
- Must have a positive attitude with the ability to function in both a collaborative team environment as well as work independently as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work with employees with a wide variety of backgrounds and knowledge.
- Advanced skills in areas of customer interface and customer satisfaction; excellent customer service.
- Preference for active member of an education / training-related professional society.
- Position requires occasional overtime and travel.
